Bucks County Community College Controller & Director of Ancillary Services in Newtown, Pennsylvania

The Controller and Director of Ancillary Affairs reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and assists with various government and official College business dealings. The Controller is responsible for the direct supervision of the Accounting, Payroll, Student Accounts departments. As the Director of Ancillary Services, the position is responsible for the direct supervisor of the Bookstore and Food Services areas. The Controller administers a comprehensive accounting system that classifies the financial transactions of all College cost centers. The Controller is responsible for the reporting and control of all financial systems, controls and financial reporting, both internally and externally to all Local, State and Federal programs. The Controller ensures the accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions, safeguards the financial assets of the College and the BCCC Foundation, and assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective and efficient system of internal controls. The Controller serves as the primary contact for all financial institutions and auditing professionals. The Director of Ancillary Services accounts for the tracking of various revenue generating areas of the College.

 

Salary Range: $85,112 - $112,063 (commensurate with experience)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in accounting/finance with 4-6 years accounting and management experience or bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with 7-10 years' experience
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and expectations with minimum supervision.
  • Effective communication to interact with executive leadership, financial teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting principles.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accounting/Finance experience within higher education/non-profit accounting experience.
  • CPA Certificate.
  • Workday experience.

     

Additional Information: At this time, this position operates on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in-office presence at least three days a week.
