Bright Horizons Senior Education and Development Program Manager in Newton, Massachusetts

Primary Purpose

The Senior Education and Development Program Manager will be responsible for the leadership and execution of high impact, high-visibility, and complex projects and programs. Involved in all stages of project or program management ensuring a design that supports identified outcomes, cross-functional collaboration, ongoing reporting, and an effective measurement strategy. Uses their education & development expertise to lead and influence program development and implementation, while also identifying and securing sources and partners that will enrich program outcomes.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation and guidance to help shape priorities, projects, and programs to meet education & development goals related to assigned programs.

  • Lead identified projects and programs from inception to maintenance, ensuring a focus on meeting established timelines and measurable goals.

  • Build effective, collaborative, and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners.

  • Create deliverables relevant to project or program outcomes including, but not limited to, communication plans, written documents, project reports, and presentations.

  • Represent Bright Horizons and the Education & Development Department in public facing events, activities, and partnerships.

  • Balance implementation, urgency, and innovation.

  • Align work with organizational mission, HEART principles, and DEI pillars.

  • Contribute to other education & development or cross-functional initiatives, as needed.

Job Requirements – Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Education, Curriculum, Learning & Development, Family Studies - Required

Master's Degree in Education, Early Education, Curriculum, Learning & Development, Family Studies - Preferred

7 years of managing high-impact, high-visibility programs and projects - Required

Would relevant experience be considered in lieu of applicable degree?

Yes

Minimum additional years of experience that would be considered in lieu of the applicable degree:

5 years

  • Proven ability to influence decision-makers outside the direct span of control.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects successfully in a distributed work environment.

  • Creative, innovative, and an analytical problem solver with a passion for delivering results

  • Extremely self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and with great attention to detail.
