US Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI, United States | Rhode Island | Full Time
Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking an organized, reliable, and driven Telecommunication Technician to work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot, and repair various voice and data networks at the Naval Undersea Warfare (NUWC) in Newport RI.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, most often involved with internet services
Install, label and terminate twisted pair cable (Cat6) and fiber optic cabling systems
Install various support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, Innerduct, and other
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor of Science in Network Information Technology
Strong knowledge of industry standard cable specifications
Communication skills with the ability to successfully collaborate with other members of the team
Solid problem solving capabilities
Ability to work at heights and lift 50+ pounds
Additional Requirements:
Position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance with the US government; active security clearance preferred
Military or government experience preferred but not necessary
Some Travel required
