Precise Systems is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Logistician to join our team in Rhode Island on a full-time, regular basis. As a Procurement Logistician, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the logistical aspects of procurement activities within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that parts are acquired and delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with Navy policies and standards. This position involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and maintaining accurate records of all procurement transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. As a Procurement Logistician, you will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of Navy operations, ensuring that the submarine fleet is supported by the timely procurement of necessary resources.

Duties:

  • Research and process procurements using MMTS

  • Process Material Transfer Requests using WARP

  • Research availability of inventory using WARP

  • Track procurements in Navy ERP

  • Maintain and update supply support documentation for provisioning, replenishment and control of supply support items

  • Review/update Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), Allowance Part Lists (APLs), Allowance Equipage Lists (AELs)

  • Retrieve and review drawings for part usage

    Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree or High School diploma or GED plus additional two years of relevant work experience can be substituted for non-degree.

    Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a logistician supporting Navy programs

  • Proficient with MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.),

  • Experience with ICAPS, CDMD-OA, DECKPLATE, One Touch, NERP, Haystack, FedMall, WebFLIS and ATIS

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to read drawings

  • Familiar with SUBSAFE hardware and procurement requirements

    Candidates must be capable of obtaining a DOD Secret Clearance.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and contracts.

  • Familiarity with the legal aspects of procurement and contract management.

  • Understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process.

  • Experience in inventory control and management.

  • Proven track record of successful procurement and logistics management.

  • Experience in analyzing supply chain data to inform purchasing decisions.

  • Basic understanding of risk management in procurement activities.

  • Experience with cost analysis and budgeting in the context of procurement.
