Kimberly Casey with Robert Half is seeking a Finance Director for a company on the Oregon Coast. This position is in the public sector and will offer some relocation assistance. The Finance Director will manage an operating budget of $180M and have up to 8 direct reports. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of their financial operations, including accounting, auditing, budget processes, capital management, and cash flow analysis. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems

• Manage all accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Conduct regular auditing to ensure compliance with government regulations and standards

• Develop and manage the budget processes to ensure efficient use of resources

• Oversee capital management strategies to optimize financial resources

• Conduct cash flow analysis to determine financial health and inform strategic decisions

• Work closely with county government and other government agencies to ensure compliance with programs and audits

• Understand and adhere to government regulations related to finance and accounting

• Manage fund accounting processes to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of financial data

• Oversee grant accounting to ensure accurate and timely reporting of grant finances.

Requirements • Proven experience in a VP/Director of Finance role or similar senior-level management position within the finance sector

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding and execution of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing, Budget Processes, and Capital Management

• Proficient in Cash Flow Analysis

• Familiarity with County government operations

• Knowledge of Government Agencies & Programs and Government Audits

• Understanding of Government Regulation

• Experience in Fund Accounting and Grant Accounting

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to make strategic decisions

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

• Advanced organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively

• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality

• A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CPA or CFA) would be advantageous.
