Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Consumer/Resi Servicing Specialist in Newport, New Hampshire

Description

Responsibilities (Essential):

  • Boarding and maintenance on all Consumer & Residential loans.

  • Maintains customer escrow accounts and pays insurance, including PMI, and/or taxes for all accounts

  • Maintains, reviews, and implements PMI cancellation requests

  • Works with customers, via incoming/outgoing calls, or emails, with questions on escrow accounts.

  • Provides training to new/existing team members

  • Is a system administrator for Corelogic

  • Assists with audits required by Freddie Mac

  • Perform reporting functions for Freddie & FHLB

  • Serve as a backup for various duties to ensure the department remains functioning at all times.

  • Perform general data entry for and parameter changes on all Consumer & Residential loans.

  • Perform customer research as requested by Bank branches or departments.

  • Provide loan-related guidance to Bank branches and departments as needed.

  • Identify, review and ensure compliance with the laws and regulations which affect assigned functional areas.

  • Enthusiastically support the Bank’s Guiding Principles and Brand Behaviors.

  • Adhere to federal regulatory requirements, such as the Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Acts, and all established policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school degree or the equivalent

  • 5 years Banking experience, required.

  • Demonstrated professional customer relations and communication skills

  • The ability to receive and understand oral questions and written instructions, and the ability to apply them to assigned job responsibilities.

  • The ability to analyze, interpret findings and results, and to draw logical conclusions in carrying out day-to-day assignments.

  • The flexibility to learn and keep current with changing procedures and regulations, varying job assignments, technological advances, and new equipment.

  • The ability to work as a positive team member in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and to manage multiple assignments.

  • Working knowledge of Windows-based software programs is required.

Schedule Expectations:

Full time, 40 hour per week.

This position requires travel on a limited, as-needed basis.
