Responsibilities You will serve as the CVN RCOH Branch Head for executing a complex scheduled overhaul, responsible for contract review, strategy, and execution. You will maintain liaison with customers, ship's force, SUPSHIPNNN functional departments and the contractor. You will process all proposed or approved changes, acting on change proposals within the authority delegated to the Supervisor. You will participate in preliminary RCOH planning activities, including funding and resource forecasting, and interface with carrier maintenance life cycle availability planners, Type Commander (TYCOM) representatives and support activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NJ-03 (GS-11) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading or managing production projects to support construction, modernization or repair of Nuclear Aircraft Carriers, propulsion systems, or weapon systems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
