Job Title: Pipelayer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pipelayer to work on large diameter ductile iron and PCCP pipe installations. You will be responsible for prepping the ground, cutting and aligning pipes, and sealing joints, while working closely with the project Superintendent to prioritize tasks. This role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions and requires a solid understanding of pipe laying concepts, procedures, and practices.
Responsibilities
Work safely on large diameter ductile iron and PCCP pipe installations.
Prepare the ground for pipe installation.
Cut and align pipes accurately.
Seal joints to ensure a secure fit.
Collaborate with the project Superintendent to prioritize and complete tasks.
Apply common pipe laying concepts, procedures, and practices.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and grades.
Knowledge of pipe, joints, and aggregates.
At least one (1) year of experience as a Pipe Layer.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with trench boxes.
Underground utilities, construction, pipe laying, and excavation.

Work Environment
You will be working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. The standard work hours are 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
