Aston Carter Financial Analyst in Newport News, Virginia
Financial Analyst
Responsibilities
Provide timely analysis, financial modeling, and recommendations to support Navy programs in decision-making processes.
Establish and maintain Corporate Financial Reports, Program Status Reports, and Key Performance Indicators.
Ensure program financials are accurate, complete, and compliant with SOX and internal corporate controls.
Analyze and investigate program issues, offering advice on appropriate actions.
Assist with new business pricing and estimating activities.
Deliver real-time program financial status updates to leadership and conduct ad-hoc financial analysis.
Present financial data during monthly and quarterly reviews to both front-line and executive-level management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
3-5+ years of financial analysis experience with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and use pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Experience with project controls and Oracle
Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with DoD PCA/FA
Experience with Oracle ERP
Experience with PFP software for forecasting
Experience with EVM, EAC, and/or ETC
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
0-2 years of financial analysis experience for Associate Financial Analyst position
Basic understanding of Excel for Associate Financial Analyst position
