Robert Half Senior Financial Analyst in Newport Beach, California

Description We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team in the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry located in Newport Beach, California. This role requires the individual to prepare budgets, conduct variance analysis, design financial models, and understand our internal systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial processes meet corporate and industry guidelines, analyzing department spending, and supporting financial aspects of new projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and forecast budgets, including monthly/quarterly forecasts, mid-year forecasts, and annual budgets.

• Conduct monthly variance analysis of actual to budget and/or forecast results.

• Design and prepare ancillary business/financial models for special projects as needed.

• Understand and utilize internal legacy computer systems to retrieve historical data.

• Ensure financial processes and reports align with corporate and industry guidelines.

• Analyze monthly department spending and communicate trends with senior management.

• Collaborate with department heads to manage spending and support financial aspects of new corporate projects.

• Contribute to the development or adjustment of Key Performance Indicators to drive business decisions, processes, and optimizations.

• Create internal management reports for monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial results and prepare commentaries and suggestions for senior management.

• Assist in the preparation of SEC reports, monthly statement of cash flows, and other financial reports and presentations for management and the board of directors. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in financial analysis or related roles

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in CRM and Crystal Reports is required

• Must have knowledge of Data Mining Techniques

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions and Accrual Accounting

• Experience in Auditing is required

• Understanding of Budget Processes is essential

• Must have experience in Capital Management

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country
