As a Bakery Associate, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient preparation, baking, and presentation of bakery items while providing exceptional customer service. Your daily tasks will include:
Baking:
- Following recipes precisely to prepare doughs, batters, and other baking ingredients.
- Mixing and measuring ingredients according to recipes.
- Shaping dough and placing items in baking pans.
- Operating baking equipment and monitoring baking times.
Customer Service:
- Welcoming and greeting customers with a friendly demeanor.
- Providing knowledgeable answers to questions about products.
- Recommending bakery items based on customer preferences and needs.
- Assisting customers with selections and packaging products.
Cleanliness:
- Washing dishes, utensils, and baking equipment.
- Sanitizing work surfaces, baking stations, and display cases.
- Sweeping and mopping floors to maintain a tidy bakery environment.
Food Safety:
- Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Following established food handling practices to prevent contamination.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization in all aspects of food preparation and storage.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Decorating baked goods such as cakes, cupcakes, and cookies as needed.
- Collaborating with team members to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Participating in periodic inventory counts and restocking displays.
