Job Summary:

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in the Company's buildings and structures and having the ability to perform complex skilled work relating to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and painting. Make periodic and special inspections of the premise to determine repair work when necessary; work from blue prints, drawings and rough sketches. Have full understanding of building automation systems.

Essential Functions*:

  • Perform complex skilled maintenance and repair to building such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry.

  • Installation: Install electrical wiring, systems, fixtures, conduits, and pipes

  • Maintenance: Maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components

  • Repair: Repair or replace electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures

  • Testing: Test electrical systems to ensure they're safe and operating properly

  • Compliance: Ensure electrical systems comply with state and local building regulations

  • Understand and use building automation programs such as Johnson Controls Management System, Fire Control Systems, Alarm Systems and Building Access Systems.

  • Perform complex skilled maintenance on manufacturing equipment as necessary.

  • Maintain grounds and roadways.

  • Perform chemical change-out and replenishment for manufacturing areas.

  • Perform complex preventive maintenance functions on equipment.

  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned such as: cardboard baling, snow and ice removal, chemical handling, office/equipment moves, landscaping/mowing.

  • May require training in Hazardous Materials Handling.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Education / Training / Skills / Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Certificate in skilled trade such as Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of related maintenance technician experience to include electrical, plumbing and carpentry.

  • Have experience with building management control systems, fire and burglar alarm systems.

  • HVAC maintenance experience strongly preferred.

  • General knowledge of ISO requirements and working knowledge of those requirements as they pertain to document / record control, infrastructure, property management, and preventive maintenance in support of product manufacture preferred.

  • High level of initiative and strong work ethic.

  • Requires valid Driver’s License.

    Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and hear.

  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling throughout the day.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
