The Server CG Operator is responsible for preparation and execution of live and recorded television news content. The position is also responsible for the output of live graphics and video content.Please note this is a fixed-term temporary role to provide on-call support.Responsibilities: * Builds Graphics sequences based on programming rundowns; * Imports graphics delivered by the Graphics Department (lower thirds, over the shoulders, etc.) for broadcast news programs; * Develops graphics (lower thirds, over the shoulder, etc.,) for broadcast news programs; * Builds graphics templates, as needed; * Ensures proper formatting, and spellchecking of broadcast graphics; * Responsible for recording and playback of all video elements including pre tapes, on set interviews, etc. * Ensures quality control of all video playback content; * Collaborates with Graphics Department, Producers and other technical personnel to produce high quality and compelling content; * Documents technical procedures and processes as required; * Oversee graphic and clip playback server operation; * Other relevant duties, as assigned.Qualified candidates will possess a strong attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines. Additional qualifications include: * Minimum of 3 years of experience operating in a fast paced and competitive television news environment; * Demonstrated experience with Ross Xpression or comparable automated production control systems; * Knowledge of control room production within newsroom environment; * Experience with television control room and studio production required.This is a hybrid position. The compensation range for this position is $36.00 - $45.00 per hour. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
