Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Manager/Program Planner to join our team! In this role, you'll have the privilege of working on the premier Infrastructure project in the Country, as well as receive all of the benefits of working for Parsons! This Program is the most Urgent infrastructure program in the country - a comprehensive set of rail investments that will improve commuter and intercity services, add needed resiliency and, in its later stages, create new capacity between Newark NJ and NYC.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the delivery of non-project related roles including information requests, grant compliance, business reporting, pipeline management, bid leadership, business development, resourcing, commercial strategy & maximizing commercial position, managing contracts, contract extensions, cross-selling, invoicing, debt collection and P&L responsibilities as directed by the Sector Lead/Senior leadership team.

  • Attends key program meetings to enable effective response to agency information requests.

  • Builds broad relationships across the Client organization to enable effective internal stakeholder engagement when responding to information requests.

  • Manages internal teams (multi-disciplinary), including providing leadership, line management and guidance to other leadership roles (Associate Directors).

  • Has a deep knowledge of a particular client/sector/service/technical aspect of their role that sets them apart from others and makes them difficult to replace.

  • Ensures the successful delivery of the program in line with all stakeholders’ expectations communicating strategies to the wider client/consultant/contractor team.

  • Oversees management of the client and consultant team and all external/project stakeholders.

  • Manages, influences & negotiates with key senior external stakeholders.

  • Delivers continuous improvements in processes through application of best practices and lessons learned. Drives transformational change.

  • Actively drives collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficiency in project delivery.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related technical/business field.

  • 15+ years of related work experience is required.

  • Minimum 10+ years in a similar Program Management role.

  • Writing skills – able to write clearly, formally, and succinctly to respond to information requests.

  • Communication skills – able to tailor communication approach to the task-at-hand.

  • Coordination skills – able to manage multiple streams of work concurrently to meet deadlines.

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in the rail/infrastructure industry.

  • Ability to certify that project plans meet the requirements and guidelines of the FTA.

  • Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio/s.

  • Proven experience of successful execution of program delivery and/or program support on major infrastructure programs.

  • Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.

Salary Range:

$126,600.00 - $253,300.00
