Job Overview:
Responsible for overseeing operations of assigned Medical Practice. Supporting and communicating mission and strategic vision for assigned outpatient areas in collaboration with department leadership. Hire, supervise, train, and performance manage staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor s degree in Health Services or Healthcare Management.
Five to seven years of Medical Practice Management experience.
History of increasing responsibility and proven ability to work in highly matrixed, teaching environments is necessary.
Preferred:
- Oncology Experience Preferred

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):
Essential Functions:
Responsible for supporting and communicating mission and strategic vision for assigned outpatient areas in collaboration with department leadership.
Hire, supervise, train, and performance manage staff. Manage payroll for assigned staff and providers.
Create and manage staff schedules and resolve internal conflicts between staff. Ensure that consistent staff meetings are held and staff is updated on priorities and expectations.
Design office policies and manage the implementation. Ensure that policies or regulations will support quality of service, patient safety and the delivery of an excellent patient experience.
Assist in creating annual budgets and manage Practice expenses throughout the year. Ensure that the Practice is paying a competitive price.
Responsible for ensuring the Practice is running efficiently by tracking and managing key performance indicators such as next available appointments, third next available appointments, cycle times, access, and no-show rates. This data should be routinely shared with all stakeholders.
Provide support in the Physician onboarding process ensuring the following have been completed: o Training scheduled for IT systems o Office has been prepared o Supplies have been purchased o Scheduling templates have been built o Credentialing has been completed
Represent the department in community affairs and special events to promote the hospital s services.Maintains the strictest level of confidentiality.
Maintains positive relationships with all customers, employee, physician, patient, visitor, and guests Utilizes a variety of feedback to improve processes and services to meet and exceed customer needs.
Uses sound employee relations practices and maintains high levels of visibility and accessibility Follows though on all customer requests and inquiries in a timely fashion.
Utilizes principles of CQI in all work situations. Seeks feedback and recommendations from others to improve the quality, processes and services.
Effectively allocates and schedules resources. Able to project and appropriately staff the unit/department to effectively function to demand.
Utilizes resources, both labor and non-labor to maximize efficiency and quality. Adheres to budgetary guidelines and targets-proactively manages budget variances and causes
