The Department of Chemistry, School of Arts and Sciences-Newark, Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), seeks a part-time instructor for Summer 2025 (Session I, May 27, 2025-July 3, 2025) to teach Organic Chemistry II. The successful candidate will cover the full range of duties associated with teaching, including, but not limited to, preparing course material; creating and posting a course syllabus; presenting material during the assigned course times; holding office hours and providing appropriate out-of-class time for students; responding to student e-mails; conducting and grading assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means, in a timely manner; and submitting final grades.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree, Ph.D., or other terminal degree strongly preferred.
Certifications/Licenses

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must. Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level is highly desired.
