Broadridge Financial Solutions Messaging Engineer- Exchange in Newark, New Jersey

Broadridge is hiring! Were seeking a Messaging Engineer to join our stellar team! You will have the opportunity to assist management with developing innovative solutions into the cloud without impacting the existing environment. This position works closely with the lead architect and Broadridge management to ensure the right solution is put into place and must be able to converse on this topic at an elevated level.

Since Broadridge Financial Solutions employs Broker Dealers there are Broadridge Compliance Departments that review emails daily per SEC Rule 17-4a and the Messaging Engineer must have knowledge in this area. The Messaging Engineer must be able to discuss this subject matter with Broadridge Compliance Management to assist in developing new cloud compliance solutions and provide guidance to the Broadridge Compliance management on how innovative solutions work and comply with SEC Rule 17-4a.

We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means youll be assigned to a Broadridge officeandrequired to be in an office 2x a month

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in design, builds, and implements new messaging solutions with minimum impact to existing infrastructure.

  • Performs research and collaborates with vendors on operational support incidents, proof of concept, and engineering

  • Assists in managing large scale and technically complex projects and upgrades

  • Works closely with lead architects and Broadridge management on messaging solutions to assist them in finalizing best decisions.

  • Monitors organizational and functional adherence to IT Messaging policies and procedures when addressing risk management.

  • Leads discussions and answers complex questions regarding cross-functional IT policies and standards.

  • Contributes to the establishment and use of best practices in IT policies, standards, and procedures

  • Extensive knowledge of the IronPort technology

  • Extensive knowledge of Proofpoint, architecture and design

  • Performing level three support for questions and problems relating to O365 applications, service integration, and related hardware and software

  • Skilled in evaluating the security of a messaging infrastructure and able to remediate security findings and experience with DNS and Email Authentication related entries, such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC records.

  • Skilled in utilizing PowerShell for automating day to day tasks and managing the environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Messaging with strong emphasis on cloud services

  • Strong Messaging Background in large environments in a Financial Company that is familiar with SEC Rule 17-4a.

  • Diligence when designing, building, and implementing new messaging solutions.

  • Experience in advising upper management.

  • Ability to work with Legal and Compliance Departments preferred

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise and research solutions.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Extensive knowledge of IronPorts

  • Strong experience with Exchange in the cloud, O365

  • Bachelors degree
