Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversees and maintains the AP Supplier database, including entering and updating vendor information and providing quality control checks of all vendor adds and changes.
Manages new AP Supplier accounts: collects banking details, assigs1099 codes, and adds check req sites.
Ensures requests to AP Supplier and AP ACH mailboxes are answered daily.
Trains and oversees Principal Accountant in initiative to convert supplier file payment methods form checks to ACH.
Leads initiative to solicit ACH banking details form suppliers
Manages vendor piece of converting suppliers to ePayables when vendor agrees to take payments via ePayables program
Resolves ACH rejections.
Runs 1099 exception reports throughout year and devises plan to address errors at the supplier level and invoice level.
Runs 1099 data for year-end filing. Ensures that vendor reporting records are up to date and 1099 utility jobs have been run to clear remaining errors.
Perform additional supplier database maintenance duties as need. .
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related area.
Five (5) years of applied accounting experience required, preferably in Accounts Payable. .
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be proficient in Oracle Accounts Payable, All Microsoft Office products (especially MS Excel), and have excellent written and verbal skills.
