Job Summary

Provide multifamily program management oversight over scope, schedule and budget of energy efficiency projects in compliance with the BPU Order and PSEG procedures. Ensure projects meet all program requirements, including project scope and cost effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for multifamily programs.

  • Interface with PSEG associates, vendors, customers and outside consultants to assure the Program rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective and the information needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.

  • Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required; Apply knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques to program and project oversight. Need to be familiar with residential and commercial energy efficiency program incentive structures.

  • Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate and direct the activities of vendors and contractors.  Review vendor deliverables.  Monitor vendor performance, and review/process vendor invoices. 

  • Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.

  • Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management. Projects may include the installation of various energy conservation measures (ECMs) such as HVAC, lighting, motors, energy management systems, etc., as appropriate for the program.

  • Analyze performance results for management reports; Provide monthly project status forecasts

  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as necessary.

  • During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for BPU approved programs.

  • Interface with PSEG associates, vendors, customers and outside consultants to assure the Program rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective and the information needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.

  • Develop and customize a customer’s project proposal to maximize incentives and energy savings by combining residential and commercial program incentive structures.

  • Coordinate and direct the activities of business development, trade allies, and vendors.  Review vendor deliverables.  Monitor vendor performance, and review/process vendor invoices.

  • Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required; Apply knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques to program and project oversight.

  • Perform project site visits as required

  • Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management. Projects may include the installation of various energy conservation measures (ECMs) such as HVAC, lighting, motors, energy management systems, etc., as appropriate for the program. Analyze performance results for management reports; Provide monthly project status forecasts; Must be proficient with working independently while maintaining and applying working knowledge of PSEG Standards of Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal business controls.    

  • Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • B.S. Degree plus 5 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields.  In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, or related field

  • Experience processing milestone based construction payments and forecasting financial spend

  • Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & MS Word)

  • Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail 

  • Knowledge of PSEG’s CEF energy efficiency order and related frameworks such as the NJ Cost Test

  • Able to travel within PSE&G territory to conduct meetings with customers, perform inspections, and manage relationships with contractors

  • Valid US driver's license
