Overview
Provides excellent customer service and technical support to customers, in performing a variety of field service work, involving installations, modifications, troubleshooting, programming, and support, with minimal assistance or supervision.

Responsibilities
What You'll Get to Do:
Service Support:
Carries out technical assignments to install, modify, and repair factory automation equipment at customer sites, with 100% travel weekly.
Operates and programs machines, understanding all technical aspects and machine parameter functions.
Prepares standard equipment documentation and reports to include service reports, Expense reports, and others as directed.
Provides customers with timely and accurate technical information in a positive and straightforward manner.
Provides equipment operation and maintenance training to customers employees and fellow field service technicians.
Prepare and submit documentation for efficient invoicing.
Maintain company property for safe operation and maximum life.
Efficiently manage and submit business expenses to maximize profitability and timeliness of processing.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist in the establishment of the preventative maintenance schedules with customers.
Maintain a safe work environment, following all safety protocols and training, ensuring compliance.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
Education & Experience :
Associate degree in Laser/Electro/Optics or equivalent vocational/military training is preferred.
Two or more years related experience, including troubleshooting.
Competencies :
Functional PC and appropriate software skills required.
Ability to use hand tools, meters, gauges, schematics, and jigs to adjust and maintain proper machine calibration and performance.
Ability to travel extensively 95%, primarily, United States, with possibility of Mexico, Canada, and Japan always on short notice. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Strong attention to details, meeting deadlines and commitments required. Strong diagnostics and technical aptitude, including knowledge of AC & DC electrical, mechanical, and optical systems.

- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively and professionally with all organizational levels both internal and external.
Other Requirements :
Capable of lifting over 50 pounds (22.7 kg), standing for long periods on factory floors, and maneuvering in factory production environments and confined spaces to execute technical activities.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively (often 95%, or greater), domestically and internationally, often with very short notice, with flexible work hours, including non-standard business hours, weekends, and occasional holidays, as may be necessary to meet customer project schedules and demands.
Additional tasks as assigned and reviewed.
Willingness to relocate is a plus.

The salary range below is just one component of Panasonic Connect's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
