Associate Program Manager - Existing Homes/Home Performance

Location: Remote NJ - candidates must be located in New Jersey with the ability to travel in Northern New Jersey

To support our growth, we are currently seeking an Associate Program Manager - Existing Homes/Home Performance for our Utility Programs and Services (UPS) division to lead and grow ICF’s energy efficiency programs. You will lead the development and management of energy efficiency programs, build relationships with clients, mentor junior team members, design/implement program strategies and plans, as well as develop and execute marketing and recruiting strategies.

What you will be doing:

  • Program design, including identification, analysis and selection of appropriate energy efficiency measures and development of effective delivery strategies

  • Develop relationships and partnerships with major local, regional, and national market partners, through in-person and virtual interactions

  • Engage market partners through the application process

  • Program implementation including development and execution of detailed and effective implementation and management plans, quality control, or program evaluation

  • Manage program forecasts, goals, and budgets along with providing regulatory support

  • Analyzing market trends and technologies to optimize existing programs

  • Collaborating with regional and national teams

  • Day to day management of program team members and subcontractors

  • Building and maintaining relationships while driving businesses towards the implementation of energy performance improvements through the use of existing market knowledge and proven energy efficient technologies

  • Goal achievement and reporting of results to clients

  • Required travel within Northern New Jersey up to 30% of the time for client meetings, trade ally meetings, conferences and other events

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Energy Resources, Sciences, Policy, or Business or related disciplines (applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)

  • 3+ years of professional experience developing, designing, administering and/or managing successful energy efficiency and demand reduction programs for utilities, state energy offices, state/local governments, and/or regional non-profits and/or related experience

  • 1+ year(s) professional experience with home performance assessments, energy audits, and/or HVAC technologies

  • Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

What we would like you to have (preferred skills):

  • BPI Certification

  • Experience with the energy efficiency market in Northern NJ

  • Experience implementing income qualified programs

  • Knowledge of local laws and NJ building and energy conservation codes

  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and technologies

  • Demonstrated experience with business development and client development

  • Previous experience managing junior staff

Professional skills you will use:

  • Ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively

  • Advanced skills in the following areas: organization, flexibility, financial and time management, analysis, stakeholder collaboration and outreach, negotiation, implementation and technical support, partnership development, marketing planning and execution, event management, written and verbal communications

  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$79,643.00 - $135,392.00
