Job Description
Teledyne ETM, located in Newark, California, is seeking an individual to join our production team as a Machinist. You will support our Manufacturing team with small batch production runs and modifications, and our Engineering team with prototype production.
Job Description:
• Work includes assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment including lathes and milling machines.
• Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions.
• May communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly.
• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances.
• May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery is preferable.
• Knowledge of how to operate grinders, lathes, and milling machines.
• Possess mechanical and mathematical aptitude to take precise measurements and make calculations.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications.
• Ability to safely lift/move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents.
• Basic computer skills – email, work instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
Salary Range:
$59,400.00-$79,310.000
