Tasks can include assemble, calibration, improving and performing maintenance on test equipment. Documents test results and confirm QA for customer acceptance. Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent: Performs testing and troubleshooting on OEM Equipment at the sub-assembly and final assembly levels, including software and hardware component troubleshooting. Locate and diagnose complex equipment or process failures, and ensures timely corrective actions. 60% Assist, train and provide guidance for manufacturing assembliy team as required. Clarify and develop work instructions and routing sheets and provide next level technical support for assembling and configuration of equipment. 10% Responsible for tracking issues, analyzing problems and recording issues through SPC and other methods as needed to perform Root Cause Corrective Actions analysis that will eliminate reoccuring issues. Document needed changes using Engineering Change Request (ECR) process and work with engineering team to develop and implent solutions. 10% Develop routing sheets and work instructions for assembly and test with the improvement of equipment quality in mind, build in cycle times and cost. Complete and file QC sheets, test documents, and any as-shipped documentation. Configure and inspect equipment to the customer sales order or work order. 15% Maintain, track and calibrate Support Equipment and tools required for testing and building of equipment. Working with Engineering, develop equipment and fixtures to support the assembly and testing of equipment. 5% RSO Responsibilities (Kingston Site): Yearly Audit of our working areas to ensure safe Manufacturing practices on factory floor. Maintain License requirements and ensure we are following all FDA/NRC/Dept of Health rules and regulations regarding manufacturing/selling/servicing X-Ray equipment Yearly Review/update of Assembly Area Radiation SOP’s Yearly Review/update of our current Assembly Area Radiation Safety Program Yearly onsite (Kingston) Radiation Safety Training Yearly Review of our Survey procedures for all four of our model types build in Kingston (advise us if anything needs to be added/edited) Responsible for yearly FDA Submissions for all sytems sol, manufactured, serviced or distributed. Audit of our Cabinet Documents (Includes Surveys and Source documentation) Responsible for Dosimeters and quarterly reporting Responsible for investigations into X-Ray accidents and High Dosage readings from reports Responsible to contact costumer for new equipment sold and to advise them who there governing body contacts are and key regulations. Maintain list of state/country wide sales/service certifications AND their renewals informations. Supporting customers, when Sales offers your services, that have minimal experience in radiation training and/or certification. Establishing the criteria and administering training to new employees and service techs prior to going into the field. Occasional Responsibilities: • Ensures equipment meets established timelines for delivery including working overtime and off hour shifts to support as needed • Provide leadership in continuous improvement processes and work group teams, assisting equally in areas of responsibility • Disposition and provide documentation for production or engineering materials in accordance with specifications. • RMA evaluation/repair on returned items. • Communicate effectively within and between shifts, and departments. • Coordinate the development of process and equipment specifications, troubleshooting guides, and other procedures. • Assemble sub-assemblies and final assemblies as needed • Coordinate and plan work orders with supervisors and/or managers. • Collect, summarize, interpret and document productivity data as needed to support manufacturing. • Familiar with and uses Lean methodologies, 5S, PDCA, Analytical problem solving, Value Stream mapping, etc.. • Perform other duties as required Why work at JBT ... Requirements: AS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electro/mechanical technology or equivalent military experience (BS preferred, but not required). 5+ years of capital equipment experience. Knowledge and Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Knowledge of Servo motors, Ethernet configurations, Electronic components (PLC controllers, Frequency drives, etc..) Must have mechanical skills to assemble complex mechanisms Experenced with Good Manufacturing and Final Test Practices. Problem solving skills with the ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Ability to interpret, follow and promote the quality policy of the organization as an operating guideline. Ability to work within established guidelines and standard operating procedures. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Moderate level of computer troubleshooting including networks and software installation Experience with Microsoft products such as office (Excel proficient) Experience in soldering small electronic components. Perform testing and record data per written procedures and verbal instructions. Must be a positive, energetic team player, and an advocate for product excellence and quality. Must have the ability to recognize problems, recommend and implement solutions. Must be flexible and adaptable in a complex multi-equipment manufacturing enviroment. Must possess a “can-do” attitude and be proactive. Experience: 5 years of capital Equipment support in a troubleshooting environment or 5 years in a capital equipment manufacturing final test department Work Environment and Physical Demands: Lifting, Bending a twisting. Must be able to work 6+ hours on feet each day, climb ladders and work at heights of 6ft, and access and work in tight spaces Work Environment: Manufacturing Environment Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
