The role is as a New York-based member of the Global Real Asset Securities team, reporting to the head of Listed Infrastructure securities. All prospective candidates must be able to work constructively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be expected to work closely with the head of Listed Infrastructure real asset securities and the global portfolio managers to contribute to alpha generation and investment process excellence across the global real asset securities strategies, with a primary focus and stock coverage on North American utilities. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Contributing within the Global Real Asset Securities team to all aspects of the equity research and portfolio construction spectrum; specifically with primary coverage of, and stock selection responsibility for, listed utilities equity investments across the North America region for our global funds.

  • Conduct due diligence on public companies and infrastructure markets by analyzing financials, engaging with company management teams and reviewing other sources of market and company information.

  • The role will require regional travel on a regular basis.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, involving both internal partner and external client facing meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Suitable professional experience (min five years), preferably in fields related to infrastructure and utilities investment.

  • Graduate of a Bachelor’s program or equivalent, with a relevant Master's degree or the CFA designation viewed favorably.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong research, quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modelling and cashflow forecasting.

  • Achievement and team oriented.

  • Creative and critical independent problem solver.

  • Passion for pursuing a career in real assets and equity investments.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $147,500 - $209,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
