Grant Thornton Valuations Senior Manager in New York, New York
As a Valuation & Modeling – Real Estate - Senior Manager, you’ll assist clients by leading teams that apply traditional and cutting-edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of analyses – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.
From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater CFO Advisory team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.
Your day-to-day may include:
Supervise and oversee the real estate component of Valuation engagements throughout the transaction process, and coordinate with other service lines to ensure compete client deliverable
Serve as the day-to-day point person on real estate engagements, lead meetings and calls with clients and target management
Plan, execute, direct and complete real estate valuations for financial and corporate strategic buyers from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, energy, retail, hospitality, gaming, construction, non-profit, high-tech, real estate
Understand and manage firm risk on projects and proposals
Oversee the assembly, maintenance, and finalization of working papers that support real estate valuations
Manage client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines and lead change efforts effectively.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships and cross-sell services
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material
Work closely with Grant Thornton managers and partners to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues
Communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidence
Lead and support business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
Manage, develop, train, coach, and mentor staff on projects, assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates
Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline required
Minimum 8 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross industry clients at a national level with experience in business valuation required
MAI or related Certified General Appraisal State Licenses required
Experience in Accounting, Audit or Transaction Advisory Services
Current knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions
Purchase price allocation valuation experience
Technical background including fair value experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice
Demonstrated leadership, business development, recruitment, training, and mentoring experience
Can travel as needed. Expected travel is typically up to 10% per year.
The base salary range for this position in the Manhattan NY office only is between $198,700 to $298,100
The base salary range for this position in the Chicago IL office only is between $184,000 to $276,000
