Planate Management Group LLC Team Leader and Contract Manager (Nauru) in New York, New York
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader and Contract Manager to join our team in Nauru.
The Team Leader and Contract Manager will play a key role in the Nauru Sustainable and Resilient Urban Development Project (SRUDP) to support the Government of Nauru in increasing sustainability, resilience, access, quality and safety urban services of water supply, sanitation and solid waste management across Nauru.
The project duration for this is 32 months and will require onsite assignment for at east 9 months in a year.
Key responsibilities:
Serve as the Engineer for this contract and provide contract management service
Act as the focal point for the CSC and work closely with, and support, the Project Manager and the various Team members and oversee site management
Ensure project delivery requirements and expectations are met
Overseeing invoicing of the project and certify contractors’ payment certificates
Managing schedules and ensuring projects are completed on time
Manage work contracts under the FIDIC Red Book
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience managing or supervising the design and construction of water supply and civil infrastructure
Must be amenable to do onsite assignment for at least 9 months each year of the CSC contract
Experience in small island developing states is essential
Experience working with or for a utility organization in a Pacific context is also desirable
Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently and/or as part of a team
