Job Description
TASK FORCE: Personnel Management and Administration
UNIT: L&D
JOB TITLE: One (1) Summer Intern

SUMMARY:
The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor’s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.
OMB’s Learning & Development (L&D) Unit is responsible for overseeing the agency’s learning strategy and for ensuring OMB employees get the training, resources, information, and practice they need to do their best work. L&D collaborates with all divisions, task forces, and units within OMB.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Main Projects: Designing and curating content for the monthly L&D newsletter. Heavy involvement in launching New Analyst Program and 6-month Manager Program.
Other Day-to-day: Assist in developing OMB social learning engagements, submit grey forms for all L&D events, set up rooms for L&D events, OMB hive maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
Experience in at least one of the following areas:
Marketing and Communications – for rolling out programs and initiatives
Performance-Based L&D/Instructional Design – from needs analysis to implementation for face to face and/or digital learning solutions
Designing digital learning assets such as short videos, infographics, job aids, and presentations. Experience in e-learning authoring software not necessary.
Event management and logistics.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate interns must be currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program. Candidates should have strong analytical, quantitative, research and communication skills. Additionally, candidates must be proficient in MS Word and Excel
To participate in the OMB Summer Internship Program, graduate students must be currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school.
