Amazon Strategic Programs Lead, AWS Industries in New York, New York

The AWS Industries (AWSI) are searching for a seasoned professional who will report to AWSI Business Operations Leader to own Strategic Programs across the team, as well as coordinate AWSI’s participation in Worldwide and Industry-level mechanisms and reviews.

As a member of the Business Operations team, this person will take ownership of strategic projects around Revenue and Industry alignment in order to driving standardization, automation, and scalability across core processes. You will identify and pilot innovative solutions, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance the customer experience.

Your role will also involve cross-functional collaboration, partnering closely with other AWS stakeholders, such as AGS, Global Services, Partner Sales, and Public Sector, to align on project requirements, drive operational consistency, and optimize decision-making.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems. The candidate will be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with the models/data, be detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate earns trust through performance and relationship building, thinks strategically and analytically about business challenges, has experience in program management and has a deep analytic background.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required

  • Extensive experience in Sales Operations, Business Planning, Operations, Strategy, FP&A, Finance, Business Development, or other related fields

  • Expert level in Excel and Data query tools. Experience with Tableau or other BI/analytics tool

  • Proven experience with CRM tools, revenue reporting, forecasting, sales force automation, etc.

  • Demonstrated successful track record in planning and executing strategic and operational deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

  • Strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and leading data-driven analyses

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
