Sr. Hardware Software QA Engineer - Kohler Ventures

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite in Palo Alto, CA or NYC

In your role as Senior Hardware Software QA Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will:

  • Establish testing patterns, best practices, and increase test coverage (in partnership with engineers).

  • Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify quality concerns.

  • Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates or potential problems.

Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer.

  • Experience with functional, regression, and end to end testing for hardware components.

  • Experience with test automation tools/frameworks for hardware/firmware validation.

  • Experience validating embedded firmware for IoT devices.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into test plan and develop test automations at all layers.

  • Availability to work outside of standard business hours to be able to collaborate with teams and vendors across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in hardware/firmware and information security for cloud and IoT devices.

  • Experience in development using script programming language, Python is preferred.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The approved base salary range for this position is $103,950 - $145,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 16% of base salary for the NYC metro area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $120,582 - $168,200 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
