Citigroup Spread Products Banker in New York, New York

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Spread Products Banker for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Perform portfolio management functions throughout the post-closing lifecycle. Assist clients in raising funds in capital markets and provide strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other types of financial transactions. Responsible for various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development, and overall growth of the firm. Work with origination and underwriting teams on credit surveillance including gathering necessary information on new loans, reviewing credit files, and ensuring accurate and complete documentation. Perform financial analysis including underwriting, market research, and review of financial conditions. Draft situation analysis, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor and management presentations. Oversee ad hoc requests from senior management, auditors, and regulators. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and standards, providing necessary reporting and documentation as mandated. Monitor key global CRE business limits and profit and loss (P&L). A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the asset management, financial services, or commercial real estate industry. Six (6) years of experience must include: Overseeing a commercial real estate loan portfolio across different asset sectors and geographic regions with extensive experience in loan servicing, future funding, extension/modification requests, and payoffs; Conducting credit surveillance by evaluating the financial performance of properties, conducting market research, understanding loan structure and borrowers’ business plan, modeling credit underwriting, and assessing internal risk ratings and credit reserves; Negotiating loan restructurings and modifications with sponsors and borrowers of real estate loans for purposes of managing credit risk, minimizing credit loss, and protecting position values; Utilizing data management and financial modeling to maintain different loan databases for portfolio management to assist in business review and strategic decision making; and Drafting situation analysis, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor and management presentations. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in an above stated field of study, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
