Job Summary

Working as the Sous Chef at Hearst Media, you will be responsible for supporting the successful operations of culinary services including a full service cafe (1100 lunch covers daily), conference dining and catering services. Shifts are Monday through Friday availability 6:30am to 4:30pm- no holidays or weekends! Occasional evening availability will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Create unforgettable culinary experiences for our clients and guests

Support costs and controls expenditures for the account

Plans and creates menus

Menu creation and execution for catered events

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years of culinary experience, preferably in restaurants, hotels, or luxury F&B.

Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

Outstanding hospitality skills

High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable.
