JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in New York, New York

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions from inception to production. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Assess requirements and size the effort with concise estimation. Work with production support team in order to triage the issues and establish Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) to resolve the issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Mobile Application Development Lead, Application Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Mobile Application Development Lead, Application Developer, or related occupation.

Job Location: 383 Madison Ave., New York, NY 10179. Telecommuting permitted up to 100% of the time from any location within the US.

Full-Time. Salary: $215,000.00-$215,000.00 per year.
