Learn more about benefits at Meta at this link: https://www.metacareers.com/facebook-life/benefits.Duties:Research, design, develop, and test software for user interfaces, infrastructure, and/or tools supporting applications on Android using the Android SDK. Work closely with product and design teams to build infrastructure that powers new experiences on Android. Implement custom infrastructure and frameworks to address large-scoped problems using the latest Android programming techniques. Build reusable Android software components for interfacing with back-end platforms. Work with product and infrastructure partners to resolve a variety of issues by analyzing and optimizing UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance. Work cross-functionally to provide technical Android guidance on complex efforts involving many engineers. Work with engineers on other platforms to build reusable Android infrastructure and UI components with consistent behaviors. Build frameworks that scale, speed up and reduce costs of Android mobile development within Meta. Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.Requires completion of a university-level course/research project/internship or thesis, in the following:1. Object-oriented software development;2. Coding in C/C++, and Java;3. Building maintainable and testable codes bases including API design and unit testing techniques;4. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce);5. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS including file manipulation and simple commands; and6. Algorithms.
