Our team develops essential tools that streamline ad sales and deliver impactful advertising experiences to millions of Amazon customers worldwide.
The Order Management System (OMS) team is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to help build innovative web solutions that power our platform.
Launched in summer 2020, OMS has become a cornerstone for the Managed Ads Display business by enabling seamless campaign curation, configuration, and contract management. As the source of truth for campaign data, OMS has scaled rapidly, onboarding multiple marketplaces across North America, Europe, and Asia. With its substantial growth and increasing impact, OMS offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a product that plays a critical role in Amazon’s advertising ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities
A successful candidate will have an interest in developing automated solutions for internal products, strong technical ability, excellent organizational skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Designing and independently implementing critical features to address complex software challenges faced by our sales team, spanning multiple facets of Amazon’s advertising ecosystem.
Applying expertise in best practices across the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
Maintaining a high standard of quality, and directly influencing both software performance and the user experience.
Managing the day-to-day maintenance and enhancement of systems that cater to the growing needs of our expanding customer base.
A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be designing and developing solutions that help guarantee software quality across a a wide range of applications and services. You will be working on tools and infrastructure challenges involving large scale back-end web services, all with the goal of delivering seamless experience to the customer.
We look forward to hiring a strong software engineer to support growth and scale of our existing product architecture and new ideations. You can help us in translating our product vision into functional products or extending existing product architecture leveraging native AWS tools and products to support larger growth and scale we are envisioning in year 2025 and 2026.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
