Citigroup SETG Structurer, VP in New York, New York
Part of the broader Strategic Equity Solutions (SES) team within Markets, the Special Equity Transactions Group (SETG) interacts extensively with Banking, Equity Capital Markets, and Equities Trading to execute a variety of equity transactions for publicly traded corporations, insiders, and financial sponsors:
Open market and structured share repurchase programs
At-the-market (“ATM”) equity offerings
Rule 10b5-1 trading plans
Rule 144 sales (block trades and dribble-outs)
Dutch auction and fixed price self-tender offers
Quiet stock accumulations in connection with M&A transactions
SETG seeks an experienced and motivated individual to help drive its origination efforts. Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Identifying new business opportunities across the corporate and private equity universes
Working with coverage bankers to convert these opportunities into Citi mandates
Tracking market trends and providing insightful analysis to clients and internal partners
Structuring and pitching tailored execution strategies to clients
Managing and cultivating existing SETG client relationships
Possessing a nuanced understanding of the evolving legal/regulatory landscape, with a focus on Rules 10b-18, 10b5-1, 144, as well as S-1/S-3 prospectus sale requirements
Qualifications:
6-10 years’ capital markets experience, preferably equity-focused
Extensive client experience, particularly at the CFO/treasurer level
Fluency in spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications
Series 7, 63, and 79 registrations
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a positive
