What you'll bring
BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience. MS preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered
5+ years of hands-on full-stack experience developing systems/software for large consumer applications
Strong CS fundamentals - data structures, algorithms and distributed systems
Strong OOD and SOA principles
Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Full-stack development experience with AI technologies/tools and apply it to user experiences or backend solutions
Experience with AI technologies like SageMaker, Vert.x, LangChain, Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering, DialogFlow, Python
Experience with at least one of the following:
Front-end technologies like React, Angular, SwiftUI (iOS), Kotlin (Android)
Back-end technologies like Java, Typescript, Spring, Express (NodeJS)
Prior working experience in a cloud computing environment like AWS/GCP is highly desired
Prior experience working in teams that have built AI native applications for 1+ years
Experience in Java, SQL, GraphQL, React, Apollo, Javascript, HTML and CSS
Experience with AWS products (including EC2, S3, RDS), Docker and Kubernetes, preferred
Strong leadership experience: Technical “go-to” person, cross-functional leader and able to build strong relationships
Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
History of contributing to open-source projects is a plus
Preferred Experience
Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large-scale, consumer-facing web applications
Experience with social, mobile, cloud/SaaS, big data, or analytics
Familiar with the development challenges inherent in highly scalable and available web applications
Always Be Learning: Experience with open-source technologies (if no practical work experience w/ Big Data, or cutting-edge front-end technology—you’re prototyping and/or researching the up-and-coming technology and solutions
Experience with various, modern web frameworks
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
New York City $161,500 - $190,000
This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits (https://www.intuit.com/careers/benefits/full-time-employees/) ).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. How you will lead
Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
Contribute to the design/architecture of the project and develop web, mobile and backend software
Implementing best practices for architecture, design, coding standards & CI/CD
Roughly 80-90% hands-on coding
Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
Work cross functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, design, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
Knowledge of building AI native applications
Guides the applicability of AI to customer problems through a deep understanding of the value and limitations of AI technologies
Understands evaluation tools to validate and measure the accuracy of solutions
High-level understanding of how AI models work, the different types of AI models that exist, and their pros and cons
Understanding of the latest tools and technologies that apply AI to real-world applications
