Intuit Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack in New York, New York

The responsibility is end-to-end — scope analysis, detection, prevention, metrics, dashboards, and building fraud prevention tools.

By doing this, we will enhance our customers’ trust and continue to increase Intuit’s brand perception as one of the world’s leaders in protecting our customers’ data and financials safe.

The group is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to take part in developing all technical aspects of these systems.

What you'll bring

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related area; equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years professional experience developing web, software, or mobile applications with a focus on JavaScript, Typescript, React, HTML, and CSS

  • Proficiency with the Software design/architecture process and familiarity with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience with web services, including experience with REST or SOAP

  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large scale, consumer facing web applications

  • Solid understanding of the frontend platform and architecture to make technical decisions on security, performance, design, and visual adherence

  • Possess basic understanding of AI concepts and foundations

  • Ability to work collaboratively with AI experts and integrate AI into existing systems as needed, with guidance

  • Familiarity with data and metrics required for building and evaluating AI models

  • Conversant with AI Native principles and able to apply them to software development

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively about AI solutions

  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including AI experts and stakeholders

  • Ability to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advances in AI technology and incorporate them into software development practices

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with building native applications in iOS or Android

  • Experience with high-level application frameworks such as Java, Spring Boot, Python, Golang, etc.

  • Experience with building microservices and event driven systems

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Drools, REST

  • Knowledge of Fraud domain

  • Experience with big data

  • Good sense of humor

How you will lead

  • You will contribute by developing end-to-end solutions for complex problems, interfacing with multiple services and platforms, and multiple Business Units and organizations.

  • You will help design these solutions and drive them to completion. You will review the code and provide feedback.

  • You will help research new solutions, proofs-of-concept, and assess 3rd party tools.

  • You will collaborate and contribute to the main Fraud platform as it develops. You will collaborate with other Fraud Prevention teams globally.

  • You will collaborate with various stakeholders — product management, analysts, data engineers, data science groups, risk agents, customer success, and more.
