As a Senior Project Manager at Saatchi and Saatchi Wellness, you will be responsible for end-to-end project management of large projects, or a brand portfolio of projects including advertising campaigns, content and print production, website development, email programs, social campaigns. You are responsible for your team delivering a completed project on time, on scope and on budget. The Senior Project Manager also manages mid- to senior-level relationships across all internal capabilities and oversees implementation of tactical plans while partnering with the team to ensure deliverables are on strategy and meet quality standards. The Senior Project Manager will demonstrate a professional but approachable demeanor and understand the need to be flexible. The Senior Project Manager can handle ambiguity with grace and leadership and has an excellent understanding of project management tools and best-practice methodologies.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manages large pharmaceutical and/or wellness campaigns—both HCP and consumer—including websites, banners, email programs, social media, print and videos from initiation to completion

  • Ensure that teams have the space and time to develop great creative work, while maximizing efficiency

  • Serve as the project leader when managing production across all marketing campaigns, working with cross-functional teams

  • Collaborate with Account Management, Creative, Strategy, Production and other internal departments to ensure a smooth delivery of final project on specification, on time and on budget

  • Uses soft skills to build relationships with cross-functional partners

  • Manage mid to senior-level relationships and is viewed as a partner across all capabilities

  • Proactively identifies project risks and works with senior-level team leadership to reach a solution

  • Responsible for leading agency process related to resource allocation and project staffing

  • Serve as the main agency contact on your projects: clarify strategic and creative requirements, production specifications and continually manage team expectations

  • Proactively represent the project at all stages of development by continually optimizing work streams and finding ways to create efficiencies

  • Identify and escalate staffing concerns that may impact the quality of work

  • Continually assess all requests that are outside of the scope of the project

  • Proactively track and document solutions when a project risk is identified

  • Collaborate with Account Management to help define timing and budget concerns based on production needs

  • Build partnerships outside the Project Management team across the agency

Scoping and Budget Tracking:

  • Scope projects based on historical data and consult with team leads to define the project assumptions and requirements

  • Develop realistic estimates and be accountable for the scope of work and budget

  • Partner with Department leads to align on project staffing needs

  • Track ongoing changes throughout the project lifecycle, and actively reconcile estimates to actuals

  • Track ongoing overall client scope of work and reconcile budgets monthly

Staff Development:

  • Mentor direct reports on their career path and document growth and progress through ongoing dialogue with team members (including difficult, timely feedback)

  • Guide junior members of all departments in problem solving and course correcting projects

  • Participates in recruiting and hiring practices

  • Participate in department initiatives and programs

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years project management experience in an advertising or marketing environment

  • Demonstrate the ability to provide solution that works for all without compromising the quality of the deliverables or the project

  • Understand project finance, staffing and profitability and the relationship to project management

  • Solid understanding of production methodologies in relation to the creative process

  • Successful history of setting and managing client and internal expectations

  • Should be solutions-oriented with the ability to communicate clearly and proactively with clients, internal departments and agency leaders

  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical and/or wellness advertising

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Proof HQ, Google Docs, Smartsheet or similar project management tool

Compensation Range: $70,000.00 - $117,500.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
