Responsible for providing customized software solutions for the company’s Information Technology Department. Support the production of IT resources necessary for the business to operate under competitive conditions in terms of technological standards, service quality and cost. Develop, support, and take full ownership of tools required by the business from inception to delivery. Work hand in hand with equity derivative trading desks and operational teams as part of a proximity development team working for the Front and middle Office to develop new tools that suit their business needs and bring reactivity to face any production issues on existing tools. Transform legacy systems to server base applications, with strong, sustainable, and easy-to-maintain architecture. Test developed algorithms to ensure the logic behaves as expected utilizing Unit Testing. Work directly with traders to understand their needs and to implement their trading Strategies. Understand requirements and write the software code that implements trading strategies envisioned by quantitative traders on the indexation and synthetic offering desk. Maintain comprehensive business domain knowledge including financial markets and electronic trading to be able to communicate with the traders effectively. Stay up to date with key industry trends in algorithm development and market microstructure to help the bank stay competitive in the financial services industry. Monitor health of trading applications and systems using tools such as the watch tower and logs. Measure the end-to-end performance, the memory usage of the applications and the processing time of the trading application, including Kibana and logs. Communicate and liaise with support, infrastructure, and development teams on a day-to-day basis to improve the trading systems and/or resolve production issues. Adapt and enhance existing software and tools, used in other regions, to the US electronic business to ensure they are transferable to trade in U.S. markets. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 3 days a week. When not telecommuting, must report to SG Operational Services, LLC, 245 Park Ave, New York 10167. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Financial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Programmer Analyst, Software Developer, or any occupation/position/job title involving implementing software solutions for financial trading and risk industry. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Financial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Programmer Analyst, Software Developer, or any occupation/position/job title involving implementing software solutions for financial trading and risk industry.Must also have the following special skills: 3 years of professional experience exposing and consuming API’s (including RESTFul APIs) and object-oriented programming in C# and Java; 3 years of professional experience utilizing source version control systems (including Git), unit testing, and continuous integration; 3 years of professional experience performing service-oriented application architecture and object-oriented programming; 3 years of professional experience working with Databases (including MSSQL, PostGreSQL, or MongoDB); 3 years of professional experience performing front-end web development in Angular or React as well as multithreaded application development; and 3 years of professional experience working with agile development methodology and practices.

Minimum Salary: 169,229 Maximum Salary: 250,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
