About The Role:

At Bowery Farming, we are building the most agile supply chain in agriculture. As part of that mission, the Supply Chain Planning function lives at the intersection of Bowery’s operational, agricultural, commercial, and financial objectives. In this position, your days will mix a focus between making high-impact operational decisions, leading cutting-edge tech projects that drive our supply chain forward, and charting the course for an expanded commercial and operational footprint. A strong candidate will have a solid analytical skillset, good communication and management skills, and the ability to adapt to new environments quickly. At its core, this role will seek to orchestrate the operations of our farms to offer our customers the freshest possible produce while keeping food waste to an absolute minimum.

This role is based in Bowery’s headquarters in New York City, with occasional opportunities to travel to our farms. The role will report to the Senior Director of Supply Chain.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Planning Processes (S&OP)

  • Lead a team of analysts / associates to drive day-to-day business operations at our farms (e.g., production scheduling, business forecasting, strategic planning, etc.)

  • Work with a cross-functional team to scope, size, and prioritize business case proposals involving new product introductions, customer launches, operational investments, etc.

  • Identify longer-term strategic opportunities to improve Bowery’s supply chain agility that enable successful scaling into new farms and new product lines

  • Collaborate with Tech to develop new analytical models and automation approaches that push our supply chain forward; and with Operational Excellence to implement new processes that drive efficiency, reliability, and savings

  • Evaluate market expansion opportunities considering commercial, operational, and financial factors

Who You Are:

  • Experience in supply chain or similar analytical field

  • Collaborative leader who earns the trust of those around them

  • Respected manager capable of leading a team of analysts / associates

  • Strategic thinker with the intuition for what matters most in a complex situation

  • Data driven and able to translate high level of detail into easily absorbed output

  • Natural optimizer who enjoys solving analytical problem

  • Experience and/or comfort working at an early stage company with rapidly evolving practices, tools, and strategies
