How you'll make an impact:

This role will report to the Vice President of Financial Reporting & Analysis and will support critical FP&A processes of building near and long term financial projections. The candidate will have extensive experience in financial modeling and have strong problem-solving skills. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing and competing priorities. This role will work closely with other members of the FP&A team, business finance leads and commercial teams.

This role will initially be responsible for building and developing the financial models using key business drivers and levers working with finance and commercial teams. Once the financial models are built, this role will then be responsible for maintaining and updating the models as the business drivers and other inputs change. The output of the models will be prepared and presented to senior leaders by this role including key financial statements, metrics, analysis and insights with the goal of preparing outputs that will allow for better decision making. This role will also perform sensitivity and other ad hoc analyses.

What you'll do:

  • Responsibilities include building and analyzing financial modeling, performing sensitivity and other ad hoc analyses, and creating and conducting presentations based on the results
  • Build, maintain and analyze financial projection models for the near and long term, working with business partners to identify levers
  • Produce forward looking income statements, balance sheet and cash flow statements as well as prepare discounted cash flow analysis
  • Perform sensitivity, scenario planning and other analyses
  • Prepare outputs that provide strategic insights and recommendations to allow for better decision making and present findings to management including analytics and insights
  • Create and conduct presentations to senior leaders
  • Partner with leaders across finance and commercial on inputs to the models

What you'll need:

  • Minimum B.S. in Finance, Accounting or another relevant field
  • 7+ years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in financial modeling preferably in Investment banking or M&A
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling, data analysis and predictive modeling
  • Expertise in data analytics tools and techniques, database management, and reporting systems
  • Excellent Excel and Power Point skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and a solid understanding of financial analysis terminology and best practices
  • A keen eye for detail and an ability to sift through large data sets to extract meaningful information
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across departments
  • Strategic thinker, capable of contributing to the broader business strategy

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $118,000 to $145,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
