Senior Financial Analyst, Decision Support
Full-Time
Overview:
As part of the Budget and Decision Support Department, the Decision Support Team provides leadership with the critical insights needed to support the strategic objectives of Hospital for Special Surgery. Reporting to the Director of Decision Support, the Senior Analyst will play a key role in the team, focusing on decision support analytics, identifying and tracking clinical variation, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the Productivity Reporting Module (Labor Tool) in Strata.
Responsibilities:
Create reports and/or dashboards to support initiatives that align with the hospital’s strategic goals.
Update and maintain monthly reports on the status of clinical variation initiatives. This includes tracking key metrics, identifying trends, and highlighting areas for improvement.
Collaborate with department leaders on variance explanations and budget changes as it relates to Productivity Reporting, as well as manage the annual budget creation and monthly maintenance tasks.
Support the monthly financial close by conducting revenue actual vs budget analyses, identifying key variances, and providing detailed explanations.
Enhance existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency.
Take initiative in situations as issues, new tasks, and responsibilities arise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
1 - 3 years of experience in decision support, finance, or accounting
Healthcare finance background is preferred
Fluency with Microsoft Excel; proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
Experience with Alteryx and Tableau is preferred but not required
Stratajazz Productivity Reporting and Decision Support Modules experience is preferred but not required.
Self-motivation and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Ability to work as a team player
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written

Pay Range - Minimum
USD $90,000.00/Yr.
Pay Range - Maximum
USD $115,000.00/Yr.
