Senior Data Engineer - (employer: Sirius XM Radio LLC; job location: New York, NY) - Design,
build and maintain tools and services used by data professionals. Work with data scientists,
engineers and analysts to understand their data analysis, engineering, and modeling needs, and
translate them into effective and user-friendly solutions. Implement best practices for optimizing
processing workflows, efficient use of resources, and minimizing latency in data-related tasks.
Identify and address bottlenecks in existing tools and services. Integrate data productivity tools
with existing data infrastructure and platforms. Develop and implement automation solutions to
streamline repetitive tasks. Create comprehensive documentation for tools and services. Train and
support data professionals to effectively leverage the developed tools and services. Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Information
Technology, plus 3 years of experience in the position offered or a software developer/engineer
position or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or
Information Technology, plus 5 years of progressive post-Bachelor's experience in the position
offered or a software developer/engineer position. All of the required experience must have
included developing tools and services for data professionals; programming in Python, Scala or
Java; working with infrastructure as code tools CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform; using big
data technologies (Apache Spark or Hadoop) and data processing frameworks; and applying
knowledge of data storage solutions, database systems, and data warehousing technologies such as
