Stonepeak Partners LP in New York, NY, seeks a Senior Associate, Investment Team build bottom-up financial models through Excel to evaluate investment opportunities and prepare investment materials for the deal team to make recommendation to investment committee. Conduct due diligence and analyze complex data set received on potential new investments. Manage portfolio companies and complete initiatives in line with the investment plan. Perform industry research and benchmarking on new opportunities through Bloomberg, CapIQ, Pitchbook and other market data platforms. Monitor and maintain data related to underlying fund and portfolio company performance through usage of Anaplan, Excel or other Microsoft software. Coordinate across multiple teams to execute on new and current investment opportunities. Perform other duties as needed.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field plus 3.5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required. Also required: 3.5 years of experience: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills; Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; Supporting deal execution including financial analysis, due diligence, documentation and financing; Analyzing data/complex data sets as part of investment diligence and/or portfolio asset management; Supporting asset management functions for portfolio companies, including exploring strategies to create value at the portfolio level; Building well-designed and effective PowerPoint presentations for senior management; Performing in-depth research on: Fundamentals of potential investments; and General industry research to assist in the identification of potential investment opportunities.
