Blackstone, Inc. in New York, NY, seeks a Senior Associate, Credit & Insurance to execute on private credit transactions and participate in all aspects of the investment process from initiation to close. Manage counterparty relationships, including meeting and interacting with management teams as part of the due diligence process. Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, and financial diligence, and identify investment merits and risks. Engage with internal and external consultants for due diligence and with rating agencies to evaluate ratings. Manage Associates and review modeling and diligence work. Present investment opportunities on investment committees. Work on numerous investment opportunities at a time given the lean size of the investment team. Manage existing portfolios of private placement investments and review periodic surveillance reports. Lead amendments and waivers process. Develop and strengthen relationships with existing Wall Street private placement teams. Perform other duties as needed. A minimum of a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field plus 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required. Also required: 4 years of experience: in Credit Investment; in the U.S. private placement market and with the 4(a)(2) asset class; in both the infrastructure and corporate sectors; in financial modeling; in corporate finance, capital markets and/or business strategy knowledge; and in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word and Bloomberg.
