Tradeweb SEC Reporting Staff Accountant in New York, New York

Tradeweb is seeking an SEC Reporting Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in New York City. This role will be responsible for the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements and other external reports filed with the SEC. In addition, the group is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s accounting policies, which includes monitoring new accounting pronouncements, documenting their effect on the company’s financial statements and implementing accounting policies on a global level. This department is also responsible for managing the company’s cap table, non-controlling interest adjustments, foreign currency translation reconciliations and stock-based compensation expense journal entries.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and other necessary supporting documents for the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements (Forms 10-Q and 10-K).

  • Assist with the preparation of key disclosures for the quarterly earnings release and slides for the quarterly earnings and investor presentations; support the investor relations and public relations functions with other external investor communications.

  • Assist with the preparation of other ad hoc financial reports on an as-needed basis (e.g. pro forma financial schedules, monthly/quarterly reporting packages for senior management, ad hoc financial analysis).

  • Assist with the SOX documentation process, including communicating with internal and external auditors for information requests and explanations related to internal controls.

  • Perform variance analysis, monthly/quarterly reconciliations and journal entry preparation for stock-based compensation expense, non-controlling interests and foreign currency translation adjustments.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of public accounting experience, big four public accounting experience preferred but not required

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

  • Strong Excel skills (experience working with large amounts of data in Excel) and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities while adhering to tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $75,000 to $150,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
