Kuehne+Nagel Sea Logistics Senior Business Analyst in New York, New York

Your Role

The National Seafreight Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for organizing and utilizing market and US Customs data and work with Seafreight Sales to develop the most effective and efficient volume and GP strategy. This strategy will have two common goals, 1) The doubling of TPEB market share and 2) Optimization of GP per TEU. This role may include product adjacent functions such as ad hoc pricing as well as development of digital forums/tools in order to coordinate and promote sales activities and initiatives. This role will be crucial as it will facilitate alignment with seafreight business strategies with Roadmap 2026 and Vision 2030 objectives, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Organizing and development of market data reports. This would include utilizing tools like Datamyne and Panjiva in order todevelop target customer and target market strategies.

  • Utilizing KN current data to ensure that accurate assignment of volume within each area, sales person and product type (vertical, VS, National). This would also include accurate performance auditing to ensure that sales is being driven to perform against target

  • Sales and Product functions such as development of digital forums, Tableau, Alteryx, Business Objects and forecasting modules and pricing to ensure that KN TPEB/ISC product offering is competitive and reflects KN objectives like RoadMap 2026 and Vision 2030

  • On-going development of Value Propositions to ensure high level of sales and customer engagement. This would also include special projects to ensure that KN feature Seafreight products are timely, elastic and adaptive tomarket dynamics (tariffs, political unrest, pandemics).

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's Degree in economics, logistics, data analysis, or a similar field

  • 4+ years years of experience in a related role

  • Experience with data analysis, pricing, allocation, marketing

  • Strong organizational skills and detailed data analysis and data solutions that align with organizational goals, sales goals and customer needs.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
