Citigroup Risk Identification Senior Officer, SVP in New York, New York

The Business Risk and Control Sr Officer I is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically, a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project

This role will be part of the Central Governance, Risk & Issue Management organization responsible for supporting risk identification programs – Material Risk and Risk Appetite

Responsibilities:

  • Support risk appetite assessment and material risk inventory process for the Services business ensuring compliance with enterprise risk program requirements and associated standards

  • Work with key stakeholders to develop/enhance risk statements, metrics and identify management actions to address material and emerging risk

  • Work with key stakeholders to complete the quarterly risk appetite assessment including quantity, quality and direction of risks

  • Coordinate communications with key stakeholders at both enterprise and business level

  • Develop senior management reporting

  • Support implementation of Services level procedures and guidelines.

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance for program within the remit.

  • Drive communication, guidance and training of new requirements.Participate in relevant control

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, operational or enterprise risk management, compliance or other control function.

  • Familiarity with risk identification programs (risk appetite and Material Risk identification) is preferred.

  • Ability to manage through influence to drive global program across a global organization (e.g. management in the absence of reporting lines)

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills required

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
