About the team

The Merchant Risk Team works collaboratively with the business and throughout FIS to mitigate risk while supporting the growth objectives of Merchant Solutions. We're a diverse team providing significant positive impact both internally and for our customers.

What you will be doing

The primary responsibility of the Merchant Risk team is to support the strategic objectives of the Merchant Solutions business using our risk management expertise to ensure business objectives are achieved in a responsible and sustainable manner. On a day-to-day basis, you will support assigned Merchant Risk. Significant activities include:

  • Working with stakeholders to assess and evaluate issues to enable risk versus reward decisions

  • Collaborating throughout the Company including in the first, second, and third lines of defense to ensure business objectives are properly understood and achieved in a responsible manner

  • Communicating effectively and professionally within the Merchant Risk team as well as with stakeholders

  • Monitoring and communicating identified risks or concerns in a timely manner

  • Knowledge of merchant acquiring services

  • Experience with risk management tools such as Archer
