Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate -Per Diem. The New York University Grossman School of Medicines Center for Healthful Behavior Change, housed in the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity is leading a new initiative that involves partnerships with several large health care centers including the Family Health Centers at NYULH and NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation. The purpose of this project is to guide the implementation of a maternal health community implementation project. We will engage diverse health system stakeholders and community partners in learning hubs, study implementation, and best practice dissemination with the goal of improving maternal health outcomes and reducing maternal health disparities in the New York City catchment area. The Research Data Associate will ensure the accurate execution of the study protocol in accordance with Good Clinical Practices, HIPAA, and IRB. The Research Data Associate will be primarily focused on operational procedures of the research study including screening, documentation and data analysis. The Research Data Associate will communicate closely with the Principal Investigators and other members of the study team to provide updates about study progress and related issues. The Research Data Associate will be assigned to work on different assignments and tasks between projects based on real-time needs of project and interests of the individual.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Prepares for pre-screening visits
    • Conduct pre-screening and troubleshoot participant enrollment
    • May assist with the informed consent process and ensure that the participant fully understands what is required of them throughout the study
    • Ensure updated data entry
    • Collect participant information from electronic health record and other data sources for the research project
    • Communicate with clinicians, community groups, and other stakeholders
    • May conduct interviews with participants and clinicians
    • Assist with qualitative data analysis
    • Assist in organizing stakeholder workshops and meetings, maintain detailed meeting minutes, and follow-up on action items
    • Assist with management of study regulatory tasks, such as preparation of materials for Institutional Review Board and data safety monitoring review
    • Manages tracking system for study payments
    • Attends regular staff meetings
    • Contributes to preparation for conference and professional meetings
    • Evenings and some travel may be required
    • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field.
Prior experience in a health care settings.
Experience with research studies involving human subjects. Knowledge of Black, Hispanic or other minority health. Knowledge of nutrition and maternal health.
Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.
Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills.
Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to follow study protocol rigorously.
Bilingual (e.g., Spanish, Creole).

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $28.15 - $30.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
